Gracie Barra: All declared police departments, prison guards, army police officers, and deputy sheriffs have all received training from Gracie Barra. The Protective Techniques Certification Program is now available at Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Personal Protection (DTC). These workshops must educate participants on efficient and effective methods of arresting, detaining, and apprehending belligerent people and de-escalation strategies, all while maintaining the utmost respect for the value of human life.

Elia Alfonso, the latest DTC Director of the program, keeps adding, “These lessons were created in partnership with greater Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts, including myself and a state security commanding officer, including over 20 years of legal experience and more than ten years as a Protective Strategy Project Coordinator. As a consequence of this partnership, police department education with a knowledge of culpability, regulatory restrictions, 4th Amendment responsibilities, and accountability has been developed.

To aid with responsibility and regulatory compliance, each training will include a training session on comprehending its use of violence, legal precedent, adequate record-keeping, and legal court evidence. Gracie Barra can also adapt the course to any company’s physical restraint and language use.

Gracie Barra has also established a relationship with the non-profit group “NotonmyWatch” to provide complimentary holistic psychological health, exercise, nutritional, and other therapeutic interventions to the legal community and a new Coaching Strategies Certificate program.

Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Self-Defense will host an authorized Demonstration Day Information Session on Friday, December 10th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (150 Lawrenceville Pennington Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648). Sessions might take place either in person or over the phone. Visit Michael Leonardi at info@GBPrinceton.com or visit www.GBPrinceton.com/law-enforcement to set up an appointment.
